"...actors
Ryan Beil and Amanda Lockitch find a way through
a maze of madness, managing to create seemingly
real characters locked in a nightmare...Seán Cummings directs with discipline, exploiting
Beil's gift for articulation and Lockitch's
strong sense of raw sexuality." |
" Ryan
Beil is fantastic...Lockitch finds a new meaning,
a surprising nuance...a kind of acting miracle......director Seán Cummings and his cast do a remarkable job...Even when the emotional going gets heavier, Cummings and his actors flavour the exchanges with irony." |

Gatchalian started writing Crossing while
at UBC. Many years later it finally hit the stage
with full force. Known for his plays Clare and Motifs
and Repititions, Gatchalian shows why he
is a Lambda nominee. He strips his characters
down to the bone and isn't timid when it comes
to taking on sexuality, violence and familial
relationships.
Ryan
Biel and Amanda Lockitch took
on the roles of Keiren and Lucy. Probably the
toughest roles in recent memory. |
